Curren$y | 1979 El Camino

Louisiana born, Curren$y is an American rapper signed to Jet Life Recordings, Warner Brothers and a former member of 504 Boyz.

The 32-year-old is a huge car fan and has a special place in his heart for Chevys. Unlike most rappers or celebrities, Curren$y likes to browse eBay for potential cars to work on, like his El Camino which needed interior work.

Pictured above, this 1979 Chevy El Camino obviously means a great deal to the rapper as it appears in three of his music videos: “Twistin’ Stank”, “King Kong” and “Daze of Thunder”.

Kimi Raikkonen | Ferrari Enzo

Ex Ferrari and 2007 World Champion Kimi Raikkonen took time off to spend a few seasons rally driving and dabbling in NASCAR. In 2011 he returned in style with Lotus. Still showing he had the skills, the Flying Finn is set to partner Alonso and drive for Ferrari again in 2014.

Being Scandinavian, Kimi has an inherent love of motor sport. Although his first car was a Lada, he told Metro UK: “I’ve got some bikes, probably ten in total. Most of them are motocross bikes. I have some cars including a Ferrari Enzo – that’s my only Ferrari – and skidoos, stuff like that. I have a Hummer and a few Cadillacs including an Escalade pick-up.”

He even owns a 1974 Stingray once owned by Sharon Stone. Kimi scores high here because, despite being partially obscured by a killer chopper, the Enzo is a design and technological masterpiece.

Hugh Laurie | Ford Galaxy 500

Across the pond in the UK Hugh Laurie has graced the screen for over two decades, performing alongside his comedy partner, Stephen Fry in A Bit Of Fry & Laurie, the TV adaption of P.G. Wodehouse’s Jeeves & Wooster and the BBC’s Blackadder.

Stateside, Laurie shot to fame when he appeared as Dr. Gregory House in the Medical drama, House, a role that saw him gain status as one of the best paid actors on TV.

Laurie is looking pretty cool in his fire truck red Ford Galaxy 500 convertible. Although he is British, he certainly knows an American classic when he sees one.

Jeremy Clarkson | Jaguar F Type

Considering how many countries the UK Top Gear is broadcasted in, I don’t think there is a single person on the planet who doesn’t know who this guy is. From his hatred of “bicyclists” and “eco mentalists” to his hilarious use of hyperbole test driving cars, Jeremy Clarkson has been talking and writing about cars since the days of Thatcher.

Having started reviewing cars such as the early Golf GTI when he sported an afro, Jeremy is more at home in 1000-bhp supercars. In fact, he was ridiculed by his fellow presenters when he purchased a Ford GT-40 as is drank too much gas and he couldn’t climb into it without looking like a “cock”.

Clarkson was spotted in West London this year in his new £80,000 Jaguar F Type. I love the white and contrasting black rims, however, I’m surprised to see Clarkson in a convertible – he once claimed on TV that anyone over the age of 28 couldn’t get away with a convertible.

John Cena | Custom Supercar

WWE star, John Cena has every classic and sought after muscle car on the planet, including a gorgeous orange Roadrunner. Just think of any muscle car icon and Cena most likely owns it. For that reason, I have decided to include the custom build he used for the 2013 Gumball 3000 rally.

Cena’s Frankenstein creation is called (wait for it) the InCENArator – and they say wrestlers have air between their ears. The car was built by reality show “Dream Machines” Parker Brothers Concepts in Florida. The main structure and power comes from a wrecked Corvette chassis and engine, the foundation over which Cena let his creative juices flow.

It’s a rather striking car, a real head turner, but I can’t help but think of the cult movie “The Wraith” (Google it and you’ll see exactly what I mean). It looks like a Hollywood attempt at creating a car for the year 2062.

Unique but just falling short of cool.

Anderson Silva | Chevrolet Camaro SS

Anderson Silva is a Brazilian mixed martial artist and former UFC Champion. He sets a record in holding the longest title defense streak in UFC history, and although this ended in 2013, he amassed 16 consecutive wins and defended 10 titles.

Silva clearly likes his cars as big and bold, as here we see him on an episode of West Coast Customs. His Camaro SS received a custom paint job, custom Silva Bee grill emblem, Silva Bee embroidered headrests, functional Transformers 2 bumper air inlets, custom trunk subwoofer system, and many other interior upgrades.

I’m a fan of muscles cars and love the SuperBee/Transformers 2 old school theme. Those custom rims really set the paint and other upgrades off too.

Harry Styles | Ford Capri

When you are an extremely popular member of a boyband the chances are you will take a few minutes out from your female adoration and pop into a car showroom or two. Harry styles has visited many, from Ferrari to Land Rover, Porsche to Jaguar, but this British Ford is one of his coolest rides.

The One Direction star owns this 1970’s Ford Capri. It might look unassuming to American onlookers, but because of it’s 3-L V6 and its comparatively light weight, the Capri was the boyhood dream throughout the 70s and early 80s. It was popular in British TV, too – whilst The Dukes oF Hazzard had the Charger, The Professionals had the Capri.

Retro classic and highly sought after in the UK, especially the older model Harry is pictured with.

Rafael Nadal| Ferrari 458 Italia

Rafael “Rafa” Nadal is a Spanish tennis player considered by many to be the greatest tennis player of all time. Thanks to 13 Grand Slam singles titles, including two at Wimbledon and two at the US Open, combined with a 2008 Olympic gold and many other wins, Rafa has earned the title, “King Of Clay”.

Nadal previously turned up to training in an Aston Martin DBS before deciding the British car just wouldn’t cut it anymore. Upping his game off court, the World Number 1 purchased the ultimate supercar in the Ferrari 458 Italia.

The 458 looks great in white, although with the yellow brake callipers, I’d personally go for darker rims.

Alberto Del Rio | Aston Martin Vantage

Mexican WWE Superstar, Alberto Del Rio is a two-time World Heavyweight Champion, a top class act, just like his rides. Not only does he have a penchant for the Italians, Ferrari and Maserati, Del Rio likes the British Rolls-Royce and Bentley too.

Adding another Brit to his garage, D2Forged accompanied the Mexican on Monday Night Raw, showing off their wheels on his Aston Martin Vantage.

The Vantage is a gorgeous car straight out of the box, so this cherry paint and custom rims only add an extra layer of allure to it.

Henrik Lundqvist | Lamborghini Gallardo

This Swedish NHL goaltender for the New York Rangers is no stranger to the exotic car scene; apart from this “stealth” Gallardo, Lundqvist has another orange Lambo and a soft spot for Maseratis.

Obviously happy with his latest custom job, Henrik revealed his signature Gallardo on Instagram. The once black car was given to Proformance Industries (guy pictured on the left) to work their magic. The Hockey star wanted a matte finish but was bored of black. After some head scratching the custom team decided on gunship grey, a color that’s quite popular at the moment. Adding a little extra to the cool finish, the paint has a metallic flake that will really make it pop as it speeds along under the sun.

Oh yeah, check out the Lundqvist badge on the rear… nice touch. With the black rims and a unique stealth finish, I can only score this high.
