Rare 17th Century European Bronze Statue of the Virgin Mary Madonna and Christ Child , Catholic relic , ca 1600\'s to early 1700\'s statue is in good shape for age , statue had a crown at one time , missing , replaced staff , halo on Jesus bent and cross on orb , but overall in great shape for being over 400 years old or earlier ? , wooden base was added later , statue measures 6 inches tall base is three inches tall ,, total 9 inches tall one odd thing about this item patina is very dark due to age but when I used a flash I can see that statue was gold gilded. , but it is so old it is hard to tell in normal light , this is a very rare work of art and extremely old , hope it goes to a good home or collection, item sold as is , thanks and good luck , ps really should be in a museum!
