MADE FOR HISTORIC 1980 PREMIERE!!!

If you want theBEST& the rarest - this posterisfor you:

THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK 8-Sheet Movie Poster (5 feet by 11 feet)! This remarkable item was exclusively made for the 1980 movie premiere of the now legendary George Lucas classic. Only three (3) of these posters were ever made, and, one of them was rendered destroyed when it was pasted it up to a board and used at the film's premier. As was the standard practice for all paper billboards, two backup copies were made in case of rain or other problems, like graffiti, vandalism, other weather issues, etc. Again, as was the standard industry practice - with paper billboards - the backup copies were tossed after the campaign was over. Happily, this amazing rarity was rescued by an employee of Gangi Studios in North Hollywood. Gangi Studio was a famous print house which started back in 1941. It's still in operation and is now a third generation family owned business. Gangi Studios, Inc. specializes in screen printing of 4 color process and line art for outdoor graphics. That's what this poster is: a screen printed poster. Gangi was commissioned to print this special poster back in 1980, because Gangi Studios was the go-to place for special short-run poster applications. A "short-run" poster is a poster printed in extremely limited quantity. Screen printing can be short-run in quantity as little as three individual posters, as was the case with this more than extreme rarity. However, this story gets even BETTER:

Originally referred to as the "Gone With the Wind," this artwork became known as the style "A" only by default. Billy Dee Williams questioned why he wasn't pictured on it (along withallof the other live billed actors) at the film'spremiere. 20th Century-Fox and Lucasfilm didn't have a good answer to Williams' surprise inquiry, leaving both studios standing there with a mess of egg splattered all over their faces. They scrambled quickly to issue the style "B" artwork with a small but clear image of LandoCalrissian, Billy D's now famous movie character. This glorious style "A" artwork was then immediately suspended - both companies dropping it from their primary campaigns to avoid any chance of undo publicity - rendering the "Gone With the Wind," gone with the wind.

THEONLY ORIGINAL AVALABLE IN THE WORLD!

The Eight Sheet Board Poster: A standard Out-Of-Home poster display - 5 feet by 11 feet. Often used in urban neighborhoods to reach hard-to-get audiences. It's a proportionate reduction to the larger billboard sizes (24-sheet and 30-sheet), commonly referred to as a "junior" in the advertising industry. Although, this Empire Strikes Back Style "A" 8-sheet is a standard out-of-home size, this was specifically made for display at thepremiere. This 8-sheet poster was printed in 3 sections and is in UNUSED ORIGINAL MINT/NearMINT CONDITION!

I've priced this poster based on the MANY bona fide results of a single movie poster selling for over $200,000. NONE of them hold a candle to the importance, rarity, and potential popularity of this item. For example, an Italian 1946 (reissue) poster for Casablanca recently sold for $478,000. If that poster is worth $478,000, then this is worth $2,000,000! That's for sure. I've priced this at a small fraction of that price. If you were born after 1960, it's likely you'll see this piece reach the million dollar level. There is no more important movie poster in existence. If you want the best, this piece is for you!

Out-of-home is an advertising industry term. It meansoutdoor print advertising: billboards, kiosks, sun-shelters, etc. Also includes other venues accessible to the public: malls, airports, transit systems, supermarkets, toy stores, etc. Distribution, format and sizes of out-of-home movie posters are separate from those displayed at theaters. The out-of-home media industry requires studios to rent display space whereas movie theaters do not.

It can crash regardless of anydecision you make and can even crash regardless of any decision made by the company related to the stock -Leaving you with a near worthless piece of paper that won't inspire anyone! With the purchase of an historic documentsuch asthis original Star Wars 8-sheet poster, it doesn't matter what happens to the economy, you'll still have the 8-sheet, whichcan be displayed and enjoyed. The magnificence of art and historic documents have an inherent value that relates to civilization and society. Unless civilization itself crashes then this piece will hold its value, and, if civilization itself crashes- Who'll care about money? This poster is definitelyECONOMY PROOF!
