Zuni fetish Standing Bear. Beautifully banded dolomite stone.Artist initials D C etched on upper leg (visible in final photo).It has been suggested to me that this is the work of David Chavez, but the initials DC are not unique among Zuni artists.I had initially thought this might be by David Cooetay, simply by comparison to a photo of a dolomite bear attributed to him.Unfortunately, the left foot is missing three toes due to a chip in the stone. This can be seen in the first and last photo. Otherwise, this is an exceptional item.Acquired new approximately 20-25 yrs agoApprox 1 1/8\" wide, 2.5\" Tall
