Vintage Indian Head Statue / Bust Hand-Carved Wood Folk Art, Large 14\" Tall
This was a recent barn find at an estate sale, and is an amazing piece of American folk art! This hand-carved bust stands 14\" tall and weighs about 7lbs. Carved from a single, solid piece of poplar, with some beautiful color variation in the grain. There are two holes in the back of the head, as noted in the photos. (The seller said it had been used as part of a display in his father\'s store in the 70s, and that was likely the origin of the holes.) This statue is unsigned and the artist is unknown. Please see all the photos, as they are part of the description. The soup can is shown for scale, and not included. :)
