Pretty good book
First I've got to say that I'm neither a fan nor a hater of the Twilight series. I've read them, thought they're pretty good, and then moved on. To be honest, I bought the book just to check it out and to keep it as a colector's item (I like collecting things, and I already have the entire series) without having much expectation of it, since I read the books and therefore already know what will happen. And while that is true - the storyline is exactly the same as the book - the art is another matter entirely. Drawn in the realistic Western style, Kim Young's undeniably Asian touch gives the drawings an exotic look about them - true-to-life yet soft and graceful, unlike most American comics (i.e. Marvels). I must say that the art is the best part of my reading experience. The movie might have botched the characters' images in some of our heads, but you would never be able to say the same for these characters in the comics. Some panels (Bella's dream, for instance) even employed CGI to produce a dream-like quality to them. The book itself, too, is high quality. The inside pages are magazine-smooth, protected by the hard cover and book jacket. Together, they create a beautiful thing. The only complaint (sort of) that I have is that the book ends at the meadow's scene. This make sense, since the original book itself is pretty long, and this is only Vol. 1. But I still kinda wish that it wouldn't have to drag out like that. Overall, for the fans, the collectors, and the readers who want to try their eyes at something new and fresh, this is a must-have!!!

Beautiful edition, can't wait for Vol 2
I was looking through the Twilight editions for something special and found this graphic adaptation. The bid was reasonable, so I thought it was worth taking a chance. I'm pleased I did because it is a really cool version of the story and one that I will be excited to collect. The characters are idealized and perhaps a little too beautiful, but that gives it a different attitude than the book. I definitely would never replace the book with this, but I think it makes a fun and different complement to the story. Because the story ends with the clearing/ forest visit, it hasn't really gotten a chance to be too dark yet. it was a awesome item i have gotten

Amazing Love story
I hesitated for a long time to read the series of books. I actually read it after the first movie came out. Being in my mid thirties, I didn't think it would appeal to me...I was very wrong. Beautifully written love story. The vampires are not even the theme of the book. You don't have to be a scifi person to enjoy them. The theme of the four books is a girl who has two wonderful men in her life that are both terrific mates... Whether you are the girl who fell for your best friend or the girl who was taken my the mysterious man...you'll find a way to relate. Don't give up on it until at least page 120. I ordered this book because I have taken a high interest in graphic novels. It is something I plan on doing as a profession. Although I am not a huge fan of twilight, I did enjoy the artwork and the layout of this graphic novel to use as a reference for the direction I should go in. I got my reference and more. Personally it was very inspiring and makes me want to follow my dreams even more. Also, the story in comic form is a very quick read.
