Back in 2006, Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa Bryant had a 1963 Chevy Impala convertible customized as a gift for Kobe by the guys over at West Coast Customs. I’ve never spotted Kobe driving this Impala before and unfortunately I never will because he’s decided to sell of the custom ride by listing it on eBay with a “buy it now” set at $100,000! Considering Kobe has his Ferrari 458 Italia and a Lamborghini Aventador (along with many other cars), I’m guessing this Impala wont be missed for long.

This former Clippers shooting guard now playing for the New Orleans Pelicans likes German technology. Not going with the trend of flat black on black, Eric Gordon decided on this stunning matte white for his Porsche Panamera. The white-lipped rims and smoked lights set this ride off perfectly.

Sedrick Ellis is a former NFL player for the New Orleans Saints and the Chicago Bears. Known for his love of muscle cars, he added this sinister looking Chevrolet El Camino to his collection. He obviously loves the ‘murdered out’ look, as aside from this mean El Camino, he has a collection of muscle cars he calls his ‘Black Beauties’.

Los Angeles Angels batter Albert Pujols knew exactly the look he wanted to achieve when he chose this black Ford F150.  The 33-year-old 6-time Silver Slugger and 2-time Golden Glove award winner added the perfect black rims and chunky tires to create this menacing and rugged 4X4 monster. The truck is also tastefully stanced and sits just right on its suspension.

Rudy Gay is a former NBA Memphis Grizzlies star now playing for the Toronto Raptors. At 6′ 8″ this 26-year-old needs a fairly big ride, so he got this rather apt Dodge Challenger SRT8 all murdered out. Gay takes his cars to Pro Motorsports for customization, where he also had his Jeep Wrangler lifted. We’re sure he’ll be getting another new car to stunt up in Toronto.  We’ll give him a 7 for trying.

No one ever said that athletes will pick a good set of wheels for their car and one could hope that a good shop could help out but in the case of Myron Lewis and his Q7, that’s not the case. Is it me or do these wheels look like crap on his Q7?

The Rolls Royce Ghost is a sick car and while it’s meant to be more of a drivers car compared to the Phantom, who buys a RR Ghost and rolls it stock. If you buy a Rolls Royce Ghost you need to take a note from Beckham and do it up with custom wheels and some tinted windows so it doesn’t look like you are driving around in a fishbowl.

Carolina Panthers defensive end and team captain Charles Johnson might be nicknamed “Big Money” for his $76 million contract extension he signed in 2011, but he’s definitely not acting like it. The team leader is modest about his success and is more focused on living up to the hype of being a franchise player.

Looking to lead by example so that the Panthers are a top team next season, Johnson isn’t going to be resting this off-season. Instead, he’s going to be working harder than ever to ensure his predictions about his team come true. But he won’t be all work and no play—taking time off to show his rides some love, especially his 2012 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder LP560 and 1969 Chevy Impala convertible. And he loves both equally, explaining how they’re his all-time favorite rides.

“The Lamborghini was my childhood dream car,” he admits. “I knew when I had enough money, I’d get one.” And Johnson didn’t let his large stature stand in his way of getting his dream ride. He had the seats extended in the Lambo to allow him to comfortably take it out for its weekly ride.

Then there’s his custom ’69 Impala, which was sitting in his garage for a full two years before he got around to tweaking it to his specifications with the help of Ultimate Audio in South Carolina. Now it’s dressed exactly how he first imagined it when he purchased it early in his NFL career. And because he’s an old soul at heart, Johnson also has Ultimate Audio fixing up his latest old school, a 1969 Cutlass that will follow his all-black garage theme.
