13" Cottagecore Ceramic Lidded Canister Jar, Pottery-Craft-style '70s Retro Home:
$65.00
Authentic American Vintage 1970s Cottagecore Retro lidded ginger jar in a Southwestern Mexicana style. Oxblood Chocolate Brown accents, painted detail, and speckles with a buttercream/oatmeal color base. High Gloss glaze. 13" total height including the lid.
Unmarked, however given the shape, motif, etc. it is quite likely an unmarked Pottery Craft (Treasure Craft, Compton CA) work from the 1970s. The high gloss finish would have been a premium (and quite unique) option. No two items from these studios were identical as they were handcrafted, fired, and detailed, but it does align with their popular 'Fern' or 'Weeds' patterns. The original label was likely paper or foil and wore off over time.
The painted wildflower details have gorgeous tone depth where you can see the layering of the chocolate tone color shading.
Intended dry goods storage use, such as a ginger jar or biscuit barrel - general kitchen canister.
Pre-owned vintage, good condition but not pristine (ex. Edge chipping inside the lid setting). Please view all images depicting condition and evaluate before purchase. No known significant damage such as large cracks. Please note carrier rates will determine shipping costs which may be higher due to weight, size, and fragility.
