Original mid-1950s Marian Martin Pattern No. 9312, a mail-order pattern for a women's half-size dress with a square neckline, short puffed sleeves tied with ribbon bows, a fitted bodice, a full flared skirt, and a wide sash tied in a bow. Complete in Nice Condition, with two pattern pieces repaired.

Design
A square neckline and short puffed sleeves, gathered on elastic and tied with optional ribbon bows, top a fitted bodice and a full flared skirt of about 2 5/8 yards at the hem in size 16½ (2 inches more per larger size). A wide sash ties in a bow at the front or back, with contrast fabric for the sash facing and drawstrings. 9-inch slide fastener; 7 parts; made only in half sizes 14½ through 24½.
A Moment in Fashion History
By the mid-1950s, the fitted waist and full skirt of the New Look had become everyday wear. Marian Martin sold its patterns by mail through the newspaper, and this half-size design was cut for a shorter, fuller figure.
