✨ TWO ANTIQUE VICTORIAN CRANBERRY & RUBY GLASS DOUBLE SCENT BOTTLES ✨
Offered together as a two-piece lot from my personal collection.
I collected these bottles separately and paired them because they display beautifully together—their similar size, rich red glass and ornate late-19th-century metalwork make a striking combination.
I’m currently thinning out portions of my collection to fund other antique objects that have caught my attention, so I’ve decided to offer the pair together.
I am a collector, not a specialist in antique scent bottles or historic glass. The information below represents my research and personal examination. Knowledgeable collectors and dealers are encouraged to study the photographs and draw their own conclusions regarding exact age, origin and maker.

🌹 CRANBERRY / RUBY-PINK BOTTLE
A beautiful double-ended scent/smelling-salts bottle with heavily faceted cranberry/ruby-pink mottled glass and elaborate floral and foliate metal fittings.
• Estimated date: c. 1875–1890
• Length: approx. 3.99” / 101.35 mm
• Weight: approx. 60.82 g / 2.145 oz
• One threaded cap + one hinged snap closure
• No visible hallmarks or maker’s marks
• Previous seller/oral provenance attributes the bottle to France
The accessible metal components were tested by me using a JSP touchstone silver-acid test. The streaks produced strong persistent red reactions consistent with silver of approximately .925 or better on the JSP scale. This is a qualitative collector’s test, not an XRF or professional assay, and exact fineness is unknown.
Very good antique condition with expected patina, tarnish, minor wear and old interior/sealing residue. I found no chips, cracks or breaks during careful visual examination.

An exceptionally attractive deep ruby-red double-ended bottle with long polished facets and richly embossed floral/foliate fittings.
• Estimated date: Late Victorian, probably c. 1890s
• Length: approx. 4.246” / 107.85 mm
• Weight: approx. 69.58 g / 2.454 oz
• Maker/origin unknown
• Fantastic antique condition in my assessment
The metal surface reacts as silver during touchstone testing; however, brass-colored base metal is visible at portions of the threaded fitting. I therefore conservatively identify the mounts as silver-plated base metal, NOT solid silver.

CONDITION & NOTES
Both bottles display beautifully and are sold exactly as photographed. They have not been tested with liquids and are offered as antique collectibles/display objects rather than guaranteed functional perfume containers.
Please enlarge and examine all photographs, as they are an important part of the description. Red and cranberry glass can vary considerably in appearance depending upon lighting and screen settings.
Both bottles are included and are being sold together as one lot.
