2 Vintage Cabinet Cards Urlin & Pfeifer Photo Palace Columbus Ohio Women Photos:
$16.98
This listing features two original 1890s Victorian cabinet card studio portraits from the prominent Columbus, Ohio photography partnership of George C. Urlin and John A. Pfeifer. The lot highlights both distinct downtown locations operated by the company: the first card is branded on the front for "Urlin & Pfeifer" with ornate gold gilt reverse branding for their branch studio, "Photo Palace" at 20 & 22 North High Street; the second card features a portrait of a woman handwritten in pencil on the back as "Sarah Evelyn Burley Reynolds," mounted on cardstock branded for their flagship location, "Mammoth Art Gallery" at 262 & 264 South High Street. The Photo Palace portrait remains in crisp, clean antique condition, while the Mammoth Art Gallery portrait shows a noticeable diagonal surface crease/crack extending across the subject's face and upper background, along with expected corner wear and edge darkening on both mounts.
