2 Vintage Flying Canada Geese Wall Art Plaques Dimensional Metal Canadian GooseThis pair of vintage Canada / Canadian geese dimensional metal wall plaques will make a great addition to your collection. Each plaque features a realistic "3-D" dimensional form with life-like proportions but in a reduced/small size, molded silver tone metal forms, hand-painted surface details, molded details including feathers, beak and feet and original patina/wear. Each goose includes a small nail hole on the flat back side for hanging. Will blend perfectly in collections including goose/geese collectibles, wildlife & hunting collections, decoys, field and stream, rustic, cabin, country and more. Both geese do have wear including heavy wear to the painted surfaces all over both forms with chipped/scuffed/scratched off paint and silver tone metal showing through, stains, dulling, dents, dings, chips, black marks, dulling, tarnish and MORE so please read complete details below and review photos closely for condition.Please note that the piece will be properly packaged and boxed in order to avoid any damage during transit andif the actual cost to ship to your location ends up being less than the listing shipping cost paid, I will happily refund the difference once the item has shipped.Thank you and enjoy!ITEM DETAILS:
- Approximate weight is 8 ozs for the goose with both wings pointed upward and 14 ozs for the goose with one wing up and one wing down; total for both is approximately 1 lb 6 ozs (the goose with both wings pointing up has an opening near the tail and appears to be mainly hollow in the form while the other goose is possibly solid/more solid in form)
- The goose with both wings pointed up measures approximately 5" deep x 6.5" tall x 7.5" wide; the goose with one wing up and one wind down measures approximately 3.5" tall x 5" deep x 9.5" wide
- Condition: In AS-IS vintage pre-owned used condition with wear including the overall quality being what I would call 'mass produced', the painted surface appears to be partially brushed and the rest sprayed on with visible brush marks, runs, drips, voids, air bubbles, thinly sprayed on areas, voids and over-sprayed areas; there is what appears to be wall treatment/paneling/paint stuck to the back of each goose as shown in photos; the painted surfaces of both geese have wear on all surfaces/details including chips, scuffed off paint with silver tone metal showing through, dents, dings, chips, gouges, worn away painted finish, scratches, heavily gouged/scratched areas around the nail holes, heavy chipping on the edges of the wings and tips/corners of all surfaces, wear to the painted details on the heads including large areas of chipped/scuffed off paint, stains, black marks/lines, rubbed off surface finish, rust, dulling, tarnish, patina, fading, dirt/dust/grime caked into the incised details/crevices, heavy chipping on the tail features/tips, pitting, dimpling, evidence of the paint being touched up including brush marks/bubbling/dimpling and open air bubbles in the surfaces, the black paint on the heads has more sheen/gloss than the rest of the painted surfaces which are very flat/matte in finish, white sprayed spots on the bottoms that I am assuming are meant to represent the "rear ends" of the geese, rust, tarnish, patina, fingerprints, grime and heavy overall wear from age and handling. - Age/era: Unknown, I am guessing that they were made sometime between the 1960s-1980s but I cannot guarantee
- Origin: Unknown
- Marks: No marks that I see, however that doesn't mean that they are not marked and I am just overlooking them.
- Materials: Unknown silver tone cast metal; unknown painted finishes
