An integral suspension loop survives above the back, together with an attached twisted/wound silver-wire suspension fitting. Griffins were well established in medieval Rus decorative art, appearing on prestigious silver jewellery alongside other fantastic creatures such as the simargl.Size (cm) and weight (grams) can be seen in the last photos.
