This is an antique European porcelain dresser or trinket box dating from the late 19th to early 20th century (1880-1910) attributed to the Sevres region of France. The oval box features a cobalt blue ground decorated with hand-painted floral panels containing roses and violets, framed by raised gold leaf scroll work. The interior features hand-painted forget-me-not floral bouquets inside both the lid and the base. The underside bears a hand-painted blue underglaze monogram cipher mark. The original brass mount features a three-barrel hinge assembly and a decorative front clasp. I was not able to accurately match the bottom mark, so I cannot say what factory or artist created this box.
Historically, this piece reflects the luxury Belle Époque era (circa 1880–1910) porcelain production. It is styled in the tradition of historic French royal factories, such as Sèvres and Limoges revival studios, which specialized in producing hand-decorated vanity wares for upscale European and American markets.The porcelain is free of chips, cracks, or hairline fractures. The gold gilding shows minimal age-related wear and retains its brightness. The original brass hardware shows an authentic aged patina.
