Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible late-19th-century Victorian dip pen manufactured by John Foley Jr. of New York. This piece is completely authentic, remarkably preserved, and triple-signed by the maker.KEY DETAILS:
- THE NIB: Stamped "John Foley Jr. N.Y. No. 3". The tines are perfectly straight, aligned, and unbent.
- THE SLEEVE: Beautifully chased/etched gold-toned barrel ring, securely holding the nib. Stamped cleanly with the John Foley Jr. maker's mark.
- THE HANDLE: Genuine hand-carved mother-of-pearl (nacre) handle featuring a gorgeous spiral twist pattern. The shell displays phenomenal iridescence and is structurally sound with no fractures, deep hairline cracks, or loose components.
- THE PRESENTATION CASE: Includes the rare original orange velvet and blue silk presentation box. The interior lid features crisp, intact gold leaf lettering reading "JOHN FOLEY JR., MANUFACTURER, NEW YORK". The clasp functions perfectly.CONDITION REPORT:
