A wonderfully worn little relic of the Victorian haberdashery trade — this shield-shaped notions box retains its original leather covering, hand-forged steel hinge, and, best of all, its original period trade label reading "...& Eyes, London," identifying it as a shop box for hooks and eyes. Traces of hand-painted floral decoration remain on the exterior, softened by a century and a half of handling.Dimensions: 3" x 1.5"
