# Pair of Antique Victorian Hand-Painted Swirl Milk Glass Shakers
### Stunning Late-1800s Opalware Tableware Featuring Freehand Floral EnamelingUp for sale or purchase is an authentic pair of **antique Victorian milk glass salt and pepper shakers**. This set is an incredible find for collectors of early American or European art glass, showcasing the delicate craftsmanship of the late 19th century. The body of each shaker features a deeply molded diagonal swirl pattern in a crisp, opaque white milk glass. Each piece is individually detailed with charming, hand-painted botanical designs: one features tiny light-blue forget-me-not style flowers, while the other features clusters of vibrant red holly-like berries and delicate green foliage. Because these were completely hand-decorated at the factory, the patterns complement each other beautifully without being perfectly identical clones.### 🔩 METAL LIDS & HARDWARE:
Both shakers retain their authentic, original metal screw-top lids. The metal has aged gracefully over more than a century, developing a dark, rich antique patina with natural oxidation that highlights its historical authenticity.### 🔍 CONDITION REPORT:
* **Glass Bases:** Excellent antique condition. The milk glass bodies are remarkably clean, free from chips, cracks, hairline fractures, or heavy staining. The smooth pontil style undersides are clean.
* **Hand-Painted Details:** The enamel artwork remains clear and highly visible, showing only the minor, expected surface wear/fading consistent with age and gentle handling over the last 120+ years.
* **Lids:** Structurally sound with primitive punching. One lid displays a small, naturally aged split along the bottom screw rim (visible in photos) which is common for thin antique metal closures from this era. Maintained in a smoke-free home!### ✈️ SHIPPING & HANDLING:
Delicate antique glassware requires specialized care. This set will be individually bubble-wrapped and cushioned generously inside a thick cardboard shipping box to ensure safe delivery to your collection. Related Items:
