***I travel often, I have a 5 business day shipping handling time between purchase and shipping. Please keep in mind when purchasing. I have shops out of town, so I am on the road quitea bit.
Shipping: I know shipping has gotten pricey. I can't help that. I try to make it as cheap as possible with box size but I have had a couple of recent items damaged. So I will use bigger boxes and double box when possible. It will add more to the shipping but that is the reality now. Thanks.
I had the pleasure of attending a private estate sale in Moraga Estates, which is a gated community in the hills of Bel Air, CA. This is from the estate of a prosperous philanthropic family. The designer of the 8,000 sq ft home was noted architect and designer Cleo Baldon (the house was furnished by Cleo's classic and iconic furniture) whose brother and sister in law were the home owners.
This gorgeous sculpture by Royal Dux Bohemia, features a lively and mischievousPierrot/jester, with lute in hand, bending down to kiss the hand of the Princess, who shyly glances down. An all together beautiful and animated piece. Mild finish wear on the base and feet. Excellent condition. Royal Dux pink triangle wafer marked "Made in Bohemia" which dates from 1915-1921 but most likely circa 1920's. There is also a stamp reading Made InCzechoslovakia along with incised numbers and a blue letter M, my guess the painter? It is about 11 1/2" x 7 1/2" at the base and about 11 1/2" at its tallest. The weight before packing is 4 lbs 2 oz.
Excellent pre owned /used condition considering age with no chips cracks or repairs. You can see the gilt trim loss especially shoes and the line pattern on the "floor" mostlikelyfrom many years of the housekeeper dusting and cleaning.
They had an amazing collection of napkin ring holders, Asian art, jewelry and modern art. Pieces I will be listing in the coming days and weeks. I like having lots of photos on each item, but because the of quantity of items we will be posting, I will only a add few photos, but more than happy to send you more if needed. I will be as brief as possible in my descriptions too, but if you look at our response, you will see that Royal Pelican Antiques has a great reputation on and in our mall spaces.
Items I sell are not new. They have been used so do not expect mint condition unless otherwise noted. Measurements are approximate and may not be totally exact. Keep this in mind when offerding.
