This detailed 3D image offers a unique perspective on a historic landmark, characteristic of the stereoscopic views popular during the 1900s. The card is printed on a sturdy cardboard mount, designed for use with a stereoscope viewer to bring the scene to life. The verso of this intriguing stereoview includes a printed message from the Vive Camera Company, based at 153 La Salle St., Chicago, U. S. A. The text explicitly states that "this, as well as each sample Photograph mailed by us in connection with the sale of Vive Cameras, is taken by an Amateur, and always and only with a Vive."
