Civil War Model 1840 Cavalry Sword Saber:
$250.00
Civil War Model 1840 Cavalry Sword. The only mark is a "67" on the underside of a branch, you can see it a little in the last picture. The grip and pommel move a little, the guard is loose (doesn't always stay hooked under the pommel). The grip is down to the wood and a piece of that is gone. The twisted wire is gone. The blade is in relic condition, it is straight, feels sharp but it is jagged, darkened patina, pitting and surface rust scattered throughout. The washer is missing. No scabbard. Length of the blade is 36" (1 3/16" wide and 5/16" thick), and the sword is 41 7/16".Check out my other War Items! Including Many Swords and Bayonets! More Model 1840's!! Related Items:
