US Civil War Model 1840 Musicians Sword with Scabbard. Completely unmarked. The unusual grip is tight, the guard and pommel are a little loose. The blade is straight, lightly sharpened, no nicks, and has a darkened patina. The scabbard has been shortened, some crazing with surface leather loss, and the seam has mostly let go. Length of the blade is 15 1/8" (11/16" wide and 3/16" thick), the sword is 21 1/8", and in the scabbard it is 27 1/4".
