Dr. Francis Regnier's office and residence in Lincoln's New Salem was originally a log cabin built in 1831. Regnier, a young physician, bought the cabin in 1832 and used it as both his home and medical office. He lived there until his marriage in 1834, after which he moved to Clary's Grove. The cabin still contains original items used by Dr. Regnier, reflecting his early practice in the area.
