Up for sale is this very rare and early patriotic "WELCOME" banner from the 1890s.
I feel this banner is very important as it has 42 stars above each letter. When you do your research on 42 Stars, it was only done one year 1889 to 1890 prior to the admission of Washington State into the Union....
I took detailed pictures along with measurements with a measuring tape as shown. This is all solid it has never been tampered with and was found in the 1990's in a very old Apothecary drugstore in upper Michigan that opened in the 1880's.
I also took pictures of the weave pattern of the sewing.... And have been told that this type of weave dates back to that same time period.
Guaranteed old and original.
This would look absolutely awesome in a home that is decorative with Americana or antique advertising that may have a vaulted ceiling to hang it from.
There are no rips or tears in any of the letters... The ink almost has a shiny Sheen to it, and has an even toning as far as aging to be expected.
This is an absolute must have for any collector of old Americana as there can't be many of these left.
This will be carefully packed for safe shipping.
If shipping is less than what I have quoted we will refund the difference.
Please study pictures as they are 98% of any description and ask questions prior to offerding. We do not take back returns unless grossly misrepresented.
