Up for sale is an incredibly rare, historically significant piece of Alabama history: an original W.E. Everett Huntsville Hotel Bar half-pint whiskey flask.
This authentic pre-Prohibition flask dates precisely between 1897 and 1901, prior to Everett liquidating his stock in January 1902. The historic Huntsville Hotel and its famed bar were completely destroyed by a massive fire on November 19, 1910, making surviving artifacts from this specific saloon exceptionally scarce.
Condition Report:
This bottle is being sold in true as-found, uncleaned condition, fresh from a private estate. It retains its honest, untouched character and has never been tumble-cleaned or chemically scrubbed.Glass: The glass shows typical light interior cloudiness/haze and faint ground patina consistent with an uncleaned antique bottle of this age.
Embossing: The embossed lettering is strong, distinct, and highly legible.
Lip/Mouth: There is a slight chip present on the outer lip/rim of the bottle (please review the macro photos closely). The rest of the collar remains structurally sound.
