German WWII Waffen-SS NCO Sword Knot Portepee Silver Bullion

Description:

Original German World War II Waffen-SS Non-Commissioned Officer sword knot (Portepee). Constructed of twisted and braided silver bullion wire with black cotton accents in the traditional Waffen-SS pattern.

Measures approximately 1-7/16 inches wide by 15-1/4 inches long.

This sword knot was intended to be worn on the hilt of a Waffen-SS NCO sword as both a decorative and organizational rank accessory. The knot retains its original silver and black coloration with strong visual contrast throughout.

The acorn exhibits tightly woven bullion strands with no significant unraveling, while the strap retains its original shape and weave pattern. The braided slide remains intact and securely attached.
