A magnificent large-format M.I. Hummel collectible from Goebel of West Germany.Offered here is the impressive M.I. Hummel “Heavenly Protection”, Mold 88/II, featuring a beautifully modeled guardian angel extending her protection over two charming children dressed in traditional Bavarian attire.Standing approximately 8¾–9 inches tall, this is the desirable large 88/II version of the beloved Heavenly Protection design.The composition displays wonderful detail throughout—from the angel’s softly feathered wings and flowing coral-red cloak to the children’s expressive faces, traditional clothing, detailed footwear and beautifully modeled woven basket. The warm hand-painted colors and gentle expressions are characteristic of classic M.I. Hummel artistry.The underside bears the authentic Goebel W. Germany factory mark along with the impressed mold designation 88/II. The traditional M.I. Hummel signature is also impressed into the reverse of the figurine.CONDITIONExcellent vintage condition with NO CHIPS, NO CRACKS and NO REPAIRS.The delicate areas—including the angel’s wings and hands, the children’s figures, basket and other projecting details—remain intact.
