Care & Maintenance Instructions
Damascus steel requires proper care to preserve its pattern and prevent oxidation or rust:
Cleaning: Wash by hand with warm water and mild soap immediately after use. Always dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Never place in a dishwasher.
Oiling: Apply a thin layer of mineral oil, food-safe oil, or gun oil to the steel blade before storing to protect against moisture.
Storage: Do not store the knife inside the leather sheath long-term, as leather can absorb moisture from the air and cause surface tarnish. Store in a dry environment.
