Lot of four vintage bridal, wedding gown and formalwear sewing patterns from Vogue and McCall’s. These are original physical sewing patterns, not reproductions or digital copies.
Patterns included:
• Vogue Couturier Pattern No. 545 — copyright 1950, size 14, 32-inch bust and 35-inch hip. Bridal or evening gown with fitted bodice, full skirt, optional train and three-quarter-length bolero. This is an original pre-cut, unprinted and perforated tissue pattern. The holes and “VOGUE” lettering in the tissue are original factory markings used to identify and construct the pieces. The pieces have been unfolded and may have been previously used. All nine listed pieces appear to be present when compared with the instruction-sheet diagram, but they have not been individually verified for alterations or guaranteed complete. The envelope and instruction sheet have substantial age-related wear, including yellowing, tears, edge loss, fold wear and handwritten markings.
• Vogue American Designer 1903 by Badgley Mischka — sizes 8, 10 and 12. Floor-length lined formal or bridal dress with a close-fitting bodice, raised waist, slightly flared bias skirt and back zipper. Includes options for decorative shoulder straps, contrast bodice details and a stole. Pattern pieces appear uncut and folded, but they have not been individually counted.
• Vogue Bridal Original 2085 by Bellville Sassoon — sizes 6, 8 and 10. Floor-length lined wedding dress with fitted princess-seam bodice, raised waist, flared skirt, attached ruffles and train. Includes a lined jacket with short- or long-sleeve options. Marked Advanced. Pattern pieces appear uncut and folded, but they have not been individually counted.
• McCall’s Crafts 5204 by Alicyn Exclusives — one-size bridal veil and headpiece pattern featuring several veil, bow and decorative headpiece variations. Includes tips for working with bridal lace. Pattern pieces appear uncut and folded, but they have not been individually counted.
All four envelopes show age and storage wear, including creases, softened corners, edge wear, discoloration, small tears and/or store markings. Vogue No. 545 has the heaviest wear, with a fragile, torn envelope and an aged instruction sheet. Please review all photographs carefully for the exact condition and contents.
Because these are older sewing patterns, no guarantee is made that every small piece or supplemental item is present. Vogue No. 545 appears to contain all nine listed tissue pieces, while the other three appear uncut; however, none have been completely unfolded and individually inventoried.
The buyer will receive all four original patterns shown in the photographs.
