Rare collection of 38 Meriden, Connecticut stereoview cards with historic interest. They date from 1870 to circa 1900.
Additionally, most of the cards are double sided (a different view mounted on each side of the card), so there are 66 different views here. They are not all identified as Meriden locations, but many are and they all came from the same estate.
Includes:
Two cards depicting “Ruins of a portion of the Meriden Brittania Works July 10, 1870.”
A bird’s eye view of “Meriden about 1885.”
Several views of downtown businesses, parks, city hall, etc.
Several views of Fourth of July festivities with flags, bunting, etc.

Virtually all of these are in very good/excellent condition, some with a bit of edgewear. One or two have creasing and wear. These are very scarce cards from small publishers.
