Mid Century Modern MCM Glass Vintage Set Oversized Crystal Dice Paperweight:
$325.00
A striking collection of three oversized crystal dice, these sculptural pieces combine playful form with substantial weight and a wonderfully sophisticated mid-century modern aesthetic. Each die is beautifully crafted with crystal-clear edges contrasted against softly frosted circular faces, creating an eye-catching interplay of transparency, texture, light, and reflection. The recessed polished pips catch the light beautifully, adding further dimension to the design and giving the dice an almost jewel-like appearance. The impressive larger die measures approximately 2.75 inches wide, 2.75 inches deep, and 2.75 inches high and weighs close to 2 pounds, giving it an exceptionally substantial presence in the hand. The two coordinating smaller dice each measure approximately 1.5 inches wide, 1.5 inches deep, and 1.5 inches high and weigh approximately 5.5 ounces each. Together, the graduated sizes create a particularly attractive display. Good vintage condition with light surface wear. A few very small edge chips. Please review the photos for further condition assessment.Heavy, exceptionally well made, and unmarked, these dice function beautifully as sculptural decorative objects as much as novelty pieces. Their clean geometric forms and frosted detailing make them ideal for a mid-century modern interior, sophisticated game room, bar or cocktail setting, executive desk, coffee table, or curated bookshelf. They would also make distinctive oversized paperweights or conversation pieces. Displayed individually or grouped together, this handsome trio has a wonderful combination of modernist simplicity, optical interest, and substantial craftsmanship that makes them especially appealing for collectors of unusual vintage decorative objects.Check out our other antique listings.
