Vintage nautical desk set made in Taiwan in the 1960's-70's for Jay Import Co. depicting a ship's steering wheel attached to a standing compass or binnacle with two pen holders on the sides.
The brass wheel spins independently and the compass housed inside the brass stand works. It's mounted to a wood base. There are two swiveling brass pen holders, one on each side. The underside has the original label reading "Quality Products designed for - JAY - Jay Import CO., Inc. - Made in Taiwan".
It measures 6" tall by 6" wide by 3" deep, and weighs 1 lb.
The perfect accessory for any nautical decor or desktop collection.
