ITEM DESCRIPTIONUp for sale is a wonderful vintage 1940s linen topographical postcard titled "New Post Office, Bradenton, Florida—41". The front design presents a crisp architectural view of the newly constructed municipal post office building, rendered in vibrant colorized lithography. The structure flies a large United States flag on its central roof peak and shows a classic blue street corner mailbox out front, representing a historic snapshot of mid-century civic infrastructure in Florida, United States. The reverse side layout features promotional text praising the region: "Bradenton 'The Friendly City', on the Manatee River, is surrounded by the rich muck lands of Manatee County, famous for its winter vegetables. The city itself is an active tourists' center noted for its hospitality and the cordial treatment of its guests." It features the stock number 9944N and is explicitly credited as manufactured by the E. C. Kropp Co. out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States.CONDITION REPORT
The postcard is in Fair to Good (F-G) unposted vintage condition due to post-manufacture alterations. The front textured linen surface exhibits bright colors and clear detailing, but features two semi-circular punch holes clipped out along the bottom white border margin (corresponding to the matching punch outs visible along the bottom edge of the reverse side). The reverse side shows light uniform browning from age, minor corner tip rounding, and a faint, erased pencil price marking ("25¢") in the upper center field. It remains completely unwritten and contains no stamps or ink cancellation marks. Please review the high-resolution images provided to confirm the exact physical condition before purchasing.SEARCH TAGS & KEYWORDS
