An outstanding piece of authentic early American workshop history! This original 1-quart Troco Motor Oil composite paper/tin can (Tulsa Refined Oil Co., Tulsa, OK) was converted decades ago by an early mechanic into a custom pour-spout shop oiler.
Rather than a modern craft, this is a true period-correct "make-do" tool featuring a hand-fashioned sheet metal funnel top, hand-soldered pour spout, and a riveted/soldered heavy strap handle. The bright orange and black litho graphics ("100% Pure Paraffin Base / Sold On Money Back Guarantee") show incredible character, age-appropriate shop patina, lead solder overflow, and light oxidation. A truly unique, one-of-a-kind piece of garage petroliana history!
