Rare 2001 Sanrio Hello Kitty Plush – Hokkaido Limited Edition – Lavender Fox Costume – Vintage Gotochi Series
This is an authentic 2001 Hello Kitty plush from Sanrio’s iconic Gotochi regional series, released exclusively in Hokkaido, Japan. Part of the early-generation Gotochi collectibles, this plush features Hello Kitty dressed as a lavender fox (kitsune) — complete with soft purple ears, a white snout hood, and a floral pouch containing real dried lavender harvested from Hokkaido’s famous fields.
This special edition was never sold outside of Japan, and has become increasingly rare over the last two decades. It measures approximately 15 cm tall, making it a compact and highly displayable vintage plush.
The tag on the front reads "Hello Kitty LAVENDER" and displays authentic Japanese text noting the origin of the lavender. This is a sealed, unused original from 2001 — a true collector’s piece.
