Offered here is a rare original New York Yacht Club (NYYC) officer's summer yachting cap, dating to approximately 1910, from the Edwardian era.

A superb piece of early 20th-century New York maritime and yacht-club history, with its original NYYC insignia, period construction and manufacturer's mark.

NEW YORK YACHT CLUB INSIGNIA

The front of the cap features a striking New York Yacht Club insignia, incorporating a colourful enamel-style medallion displaying the distinctive NYYC burgee design — a white five-pointed star on a red cross over a blue field.

The medallion is surrounded by an elaborate gold-bullion embroidered wreath, creating a particularly impressive presentation.

One of the most interesting features is found inside the cap.
