Rare Vintage RELCO Santa NOEL Candle Holders 4pc Set MCM Christmas:
$325.99
A wonderful and increasingly difficult-to-find vintage RELCO Santa “NOEL” candle holder set, complete with all four figural letters — N, O, E and L.
Each separate ceramic figure incorporates a wonderfully expressive Santa Claus into the shape of a letter, with individual candle cups incorporated into the design. The Santas feature classic mid-century styling with rosy faces, white beards, red suits, black boots, green accents and touches of gold trim.
When arranged together, the four pieces spell NOEL, creating an especially charming display for a mantel, sideboard, holiday table or vintage Christmas collection.
Complete examples of this whimsical Santa NOEL design are quite scarce, particularly when all four pieces remain together and have survived without damage.
Condition:
This set is in very good vintage condition.
No chips
No cracks
No repairs
Very little paint loss
Attractive original vintage appearance
Some light age-related surface wear and crazing may be present, consistent with vintage glazed ceramics
There is what appears to be removable museum/display putty or earthquake putty residue on portions of the undersides, presumably from a previous owner securing the pieces for display. Please see the detailed photographs of the bases.
The candle cups also show minor age-related wear to the gold trim, as expected.
Box
The original RELCO retail box is not present.
The set will, however, include the older cardboard storage box shown in the photographs, which is the box in which I acquired the pieces. This box is included as part of the set's history and for added protection, but it should not be represented as the original manufacturer's box.
Shipping
Because this is a scarce vintage ceramic set, it will be packed with exceptional care.
The set will be DOUBLE BOXED for shipping.
Each piece will be individually protected and cushioned, the included vintage storage box will be securely packed, and the entire group will then be placed inside a second sturdy shipping carton for additional protection.
Collector Description
These wonderfully animated Santa figures capture exactly the look collectors associate with mid-century Christmas décor—playful expressions, bright hand-applied colors and imaginative figural forms.
The fact that this example remains a complete four-piece set with no chips, cracks or repairs makes it particularly appealing for the serious vintage Christmas collector.
Please review all photographs carefully, including the close-up and underside images, as they form an important part of the condition description.
