Relinquished Deep Rock Core Sample With Original Rock Core Field Log (137ft):
$130.00

I am a field geologist working for a geotechnical company out of the eastern United States. We are tasked with navigating large track-mounted drill rigs into remote areas, extracting core samples from hundreds of feet deep & testing the structural capability/constraints of each in a lab setting. This information is used to determine their structural integrity & used to engineer different forms of structures, of which, will have to remain classified.
Recently I stumbled upon a rare opportunity to obtain a few rock cores that we drilled for another company. The company went out of business and no longer needed the cores tested. I took them home and made stands for the coolest ones. Everyone asks to buy them/tells me to sell them, so here they are.
As the field core geologist for all projects under this company, I personally logged these cores. For that reason, I am able to provide the original field logs for each respective core sample. You will find this offer nowhere else in the world. You may see my original geologist markings on a few of these rocks, this is unavoidable, to some maybe appealing. All cores are 2 inches in diameter w/varying lengths that can be approximated in photos.
These are art sculptures crafted by nature, not just your ordinary rocks. Most of which were extracted from 80-200 ft in the ground, good luck finding that lying on the ground. Making the stands, sanding the bottoms, constructing/painting/gluing the bases, and prepping/polishing/coating the cores took an immense amount of time. Each rock core's price is based off this, the sample depth, rock length, quality, rareness, and cool factor. The log used in the photos is an example of what you will receive, the original log per specimen will be sourced, scanned, and printed upon ordering. Sensitive information regarding the project/company/location will be redacted from the logs as seen in the example.
ROCK SPECIFIC NOTE FOR THIS SAMPLE - This is my absolute favorite core, I do not care if it sells lol. Related Items:
