- Stunning Visual Appeal: A gorgeous, museum-quality statement piece featuring a dramatic, high-gloss blood-red and deep burgundy Flambé glaze that catches the light beautifully from every angle.
- Highly Collectible Masterpiece: This rare "Leaping Salmon" (Model No. 666) is a highly sought-after prize for serious Royal Doulton and art pottery enthusiasts.
- Prestigious Artist Pedigree: Features the hand-painted script signature of legendary Royal Doulton Art Director Charles Noke, the mastermind who perfected this famous reduction-glaze technique.
- Fully Authenticated: Complete with the official stamped Royal Doulton Flambé backstamp and its rare, original Doulton & Co. factory paper inventory label still intact on the base.
Detailed Condition Report
- Glaze Crazing: Shows a network of fine, faint crazing lines running through the glassy surface coat. This is a entirely natural aging characteristic common to mid-century Flambé glazes and does not affect the structural integrity of the ceramic body.
- Factory Firing Anomalies: Features minor production-born pinholes, tiny dimples, and small glaze skips/microscopic white specks along the lower molded base edge. These are original factory traits from the intense kiln reduction process, not post-production damage.
- Light Surface Wear: Includes very minor chips, superficial shelf wear and faint surface scuffs consistent with decades of careful handling and display.
- Overall Assessment: A beautiful, honest, and completely intact vintage specimen that presents magnificently. No major chips, no cracks, and no restorations.
