The Porcelain Garden 6 Panel Lithophane Table Lamp Discontinued Art Nouveau Work:
$215.00
Stunning and highly collectible Art Nouveau revival lithophane table lamp handcrafted by the renowned American studio The Porcelain Garden. This specific 6-panel Victorian-style filigree model is long discontinued and rare, making it a highly sought-after piece for lighting collectors. The studio is famous for reviving the lost 19th-century European art of translucent porcelain relief carving.
The lamp features a heavy, dark-patinated cast metal base adorned with organic Art Nouveau floral scrolls and a pierced lace-style upper gallery frame. The hexagonal shade houses six (6) independent, highly translucent porcelain lithophane panels. When lit from within, the varying thicknesses of the porcelain create incredible three-dimensional depth, revealing highly detailed domestic Victorian vignettes, countryside landscapes, and charming historical imagery. Includes its vintage "Talk of the Town, Sturbridge Mass." estate string tag.
Dimensions:
- Height: Approximately 13 inches
- Shade Width: Approximately 9 inches across the hexagonal rim
