Large period U.S. Navy Hydrographic Office nautical chart titled “South Pacific Ocean — Sheet III.”The chart covers an extensive section of the South Pacific, including Australia, New Zealand, New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Fiji, and numerous smaller Pacific islands.It is densely detailed with coastal locations, ocean depths and soundings, navigational routes, compass circles, latitude and longitude markings, and maritime annotations.Approximate size: 50" x 33".Condition: Heavily used vintage condition with substantial toning, discoloration, water staining, folds, creases, wrinkles, edge wear, tears, and paper losses. Particularly noticeable damage appears at the upper and lower center, with additional losses along the right edge. The chart remains legible and visually impressive despite its condition.
