Two good reasons to grab this one. It is the first cameo appearance of Lady Henrietta, and cameo firsts on a character people end up caring about are exactly the books that quietly get expensive later. It is also the Meghan Hetrick 1:25 incentive, and her cover is beautiful, a figure standing barefoot in a red and cream patterned robe with smoke curling up all around her and pale spirit shapes drifting in the background. It is elegant and eerie at the same time, which fits this arc perfectly. One copy came in for every twenty five a shop ordered.
Issue 14 is The Dark Artery, Part 2: An Infectious Mind. The Uncanny X-Men believed Haven House was safe, somewhere they could actually call home, and this issue starts pulling that apart. The history of the hidden landscape under the Louisiana swampland comes to the surface, along with what it wants from the young Outliers. Long held secrets get revealed and a piece of X-history nobody has seen before threatens to split both teams apart. Gail Simone writing with David Marquez on art is a genuinely great pairing. Rated T+.
