VINTAGE 1939 YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK 12" PORCELAIN SIGN RANGER NATURALIST NPS:
$219.47
ABOUT THIS SIGNThe Lower Falls cut in stark black and white with the 1939 date set into the gorge and the Ranger Naturalist Service line below. The Park Service marks are the ones park collectors actually hunt for, well above the generic scenery signs.
Marked on the face: Yellowstone National Park, National Park Service, Ranger Naturalist Service, 1939.
Size: approximately 12" in diameter (305 mm), measured by the seller.
CONDITIONJudge the condition from the photographs - the sign is shown from every angle, including the reverse and the mounting holes, and nothing is cropped out. On porcelain of this age, fine specking in the enamel, small chips at the edges and wear around the mounting holes are normal and are not faults. After decades of age and storage a sign may also sit slightly warped or a little bent rather than perfectly flat - it still hangs and displays fine, and you will not notice it once it is on a wall. This one is not cracked and has not been restored, repainted or touched up. Want a close-up of a particular area, or an exact measurement, before you buy? Message us and we will take it the same day.
