Original 1998 Kings Guard Drill Team award medal from Hawaii, personalized to William Simmons. Features a gold-tone relief design with Kings Guard figure and large “75” motif on the front. Reverse is engraved “1998 / KINGS GUARD / DRILL TEAM AWARD / WILLIAM SIMMONS.”
The Kings Guard was the famous Hawaii exhibition rifle drill team associated with King’s Village in Waikiki, known for its elaborate Hawaiian-style military drill performances and uniforms inspired by the royal guards of the Hawaiian monarchy.
Vintage pre-owned condition with light surface wear from age and storage. Includes the white ribbon shown in the photographs. Metal content is unknown and has not been tested; sold as a gold-tone medal, not represented as solid gold.
