Very Rare British Commando 51 KnifeThis very rare Commando 51 knife was produced in limited numbers for Commandos 50, 51, and 52—units formed from Israeli and Palestinian volunteers in 1940.Commando 51 was established in October 1940 with 360 volunteers. They distinguished themselves in Abyssinia and Eritrea in operations against the Italians. It is not strictly a combat knife, but rather a weapon designed for silently neutralizing sentries (or others) from behind, as the blade's cutting edge is reversed. Some of these knives were used by the SOE during operations in Normandy.100% Original
