Vintage 1930s M-W Hardware Advertising Airplane Photo, Sponsor Livery Approx 5x7Golden Age Cabin Monoplane, Painted Business Sponsor SchemeDESCRIPTIONOriginal vintage photograph of a Golden Age era light cabin monoplane parked in a grass field, painted in a bold two-tone advertising livery reading "M-W HARDWARE" in large hand-lettered type along the fuselage, with a small checkmark or lightning-bolt style logo beneath the text.A single lone tree and fence line anchor the rural background, with a person visible at the cockpit. This kind of business-sponsored paint job was common at small airfields and county fairs in the 1930s, when local merchants paid to have their name carried across the sky as a form of early aerial advertising. The aircraft's registration number is faintly visible on the rudder but has not been confirmed to a specific type or owner. Sold as a piece of small-town Americana and early aviation advertising history. Verso is blank aside from a faint archival pencil notation.CONDITIONOriginal vintage gelatin silver print, approximately 5 x 7 inches. Good condition for age: light corner wear, small edge nick at upper right corner, faint vertical crease near left edge, minor surface toning consistent with period paper. Image is sharp and well exposed with strong contrast. Verso is blank with only a faint pencil archival mark, no photographer stamp or caption. No tears, no writing on the image side. Related Items:
