Vintage 1940s Brown Photo Album 7x10 45 B&W Family Snapshot Photos Gelatin OrigOriginal vintage black-and-white gelatin-silver photograph album featuring 45 family and children snapshots from mid-20th-century domestic and travel life.
The images show a range of scenes including children playing and posing in yards and on city sidewalks, adults holding babies, small groups gathered on park benches and lawns, women and men beside mid-century automobiles, and friends relaxing together on what appears to be a boat or excursion deck, capturing candid moments of social history, leisure, and everyday life in the United States.
Housed in a textured brown leather cover stamped in gold with the word Photographs and decorated at the lower corner with an embossed stag and landscape design, the cord-tied 7x10 inch album contains black paper pages with white-bordered gelatin-silver prints, many with scalloped edges held in photo corner mounts, along with additional blank sheets and unused photo corners at the back; any brass display stand, handwritten size note, or other props visible in the listing images are used solely for scale and presentation and are not included.
Actual Measurements: 7 in x 10 in
Condition: Original vintage black-and-white gelatin-silver photograph album with typical handling and storage wear from age and use. Textured brown leather covers show surface rubbing, small corner bumps, slight edge wear, and a tiny chip at the lower front corner, while the cord-tied spine and metal eyelets remain secure with minor fraying to the cord ends. Interior black paper pages hold 45 photographs whose glossy surfaces display overall age toning with scattered faint specks, light handling marks, and slight waviness but remain intact without tears or hard creases; album includes several blank pages and pages with unused or empty photo corner mounts toward the back. Piece is offered as a single original filled album only, with any brass display stand, handwritten size note, or other props visible in the listing images shown for scale and presentation purposes and not included.
