Why this is special
Circus posters like this were intended as temporary advertising and were generally displayed outdoors or in public locations before being discarded. Surviving examples offer a great piece of American circus history and mid-century commercial graphic design.
The combination of the local Bensenville event, American Legion sponsorship, dated performance, original printing, typography and vintage frame makes this a particularly fun piece for collectors of circus memorabilia, vintage advertising, Illinois history, Americana, or eclectic vintage décor.
A great statement piece for a vintage-inspired home, bar, restaurant, office, studio, or collection.
