This rare piece of commercial aviation ephemera is explicitly dated by the form code 881-7 Rev. 9/67, marking its production to September 1967 during the peak era of the Golden Age of Flight.This packet is a fascinating historical time capsule showing just how much the hiring process has changed over the decades. The blank 4-page application booklet features instructions to be filled out with a typewriter and includes an internal designated box requiring a recent photograph to be attached after employment. Because it dates to pre-deregulation and pre-labor reform eras, the form requests applicant details that are illegal on job applications today. These include mandatory fields for Sex, Marital Status, Draft Classification, Draft Board Number, physical defects, ownership of automobiles or homes, and a prominent warning regarding penalties under the Espionage Act.The booklet has sharp text with no writing or folds.
