Vintage 5-Gallon Red Metal Jerry Can – Authentic Military Style Patina
Description:
Up for sale is a classic, vintage 5-gallon steel jerry can in its original worn red finish. This authentic military-style can features the highly sought-after embossed "U.S." stamp on the front lower face, along with the standard structural "X" reinforcement ridges and an embossed "G" marking near the top dome.
Equipped with the classic three-bar carrying handle and a heavy-duty cam-locking cap mechanism, this piece oozes industrial history and military heritage.
Condition Details:
- Exterior: Beautiful, authentic aged patina with realistic paint wear, minor superficial surface rust, and scuffs that highlight its genuine vintage character. No massive structural dents or punctures.
- Interior: Shows typical aging and oxidation consistent with a historical item.
- Mechanics: The heavy-duty closure mechanism operates as intended. The rubber seal shows signs of age; if you intend to hold liquids, a replacement gasket is recommended.

- Man Caves & Industrial Decor: Highly aesthetic industrial prop or shelf display piece.
- Restoration Enthusiasts: A solid, rust-treated base candidate for a full military re-paint project
