Vintage U.S. Navy officer's dress blue uniform consisting of a jacket and trousers that appear to represent different points in the career of the same Supply Corps officer.
The jacket is from Navy Uniform, Staten Island, New York, and features three equal gold sleeve stripes denoting the rank of Lieutenant Commander (LCDR), along with the gold Supply Corps oak leaf insignia. The interior jacket tag bears the officer's name along with a handwritten "1/87" notation, indicating that the jacket was fitted or issued to him around that time.
The trousers are an especially interesting part of the uniform. Their interior tag also bears the officer's name and a handwritten "9/79" notation. These trousers correspond to an earlier period of his career when he held the rank of Lieutenant. The jacket reflects his later rank of Lieutenant Commander.
